Found
Found are a four piece rock gospel band from Johannesburg, South Africa. They are currently recording their second studio album, which is due for release in the first quarter of 2008.
In mid 2005, Found recorded their debut album “Eternity”. The album took three months to complete at Spaghetti Media studios in Johannesburg. The album was then mastered by grammy nominee Michael Fossenkemper at Turtle Tone studios in New York city. The result is a 13 track album which has been well received and widely praised by audiences in Johannesburg. Radio Pulpit called the album “world-class”, and play listed five songs off the album even though they didn’t necessarily fit in with their format.
Found sees themselves as more than just a band. The members believe that they have been called to use the medium of music to motivate people to do good works in the name of Jesus Christ. Because of this, the live events at which Found perform are designed to mobilize people to assist in already existing Christian humanitarian projects. Found has aligned itself with several organizations, including The Invisible Children, Operation Mobilization, Dream for Africa, The Hillbrow Christian care center and many others. This stems from a belief from within the band that worship is more than just a musical experience. Rather it is the extent to which people surrender themselves to be the hands of feet of Christ. The members of the band are therefore all involved in ongoing humanitarian projects.
